Run a silent auction your volunteers can actually manage.

Bidding Star is an online silent auction platform for non-profits and community organizations. Set up your auction, share one link, and let people bid from their phones.

What Bidding Star does

Your organization creates an auction, adds the items people have donated, and shares one link. Supporters open that link on their phone, browse the items and bid. They get told the moment someone outbids them, which is what keeps bidding going in the final hours where most of the money is raised.

When the auction closes, Bidding Star works out who won what, tells them, and collects the money. You get one list showing who has paid and who has not.

There is no app to download and no account needed to look around.

How it works

  1. Set up your auction

Add your organization, name the auction, set the dates. A few minutes.

  2. Add your items

A photo, a description and a starting bid. Add them as donations come in.

  3. Share the link

Your auction lives at an address like biddingstar.com/spring-benefit. There is no public directory — only people with the link can find it.

  4. People bid

From a phone, on the sofa, in a queue somewhere. They get an alert the moment they are outbid.

  5. Winners pay

Bidding Star determines the winners and asks each one to pay for what they won. You watch the list go green.

Your organization is paid directly

Bidding Star never holds your money. Payments go to a Stripe account belonging to your organization, and the bidder sees a single charge from you — not from us. Our 3% comes out at the moment of payment.

That also means your organization is the merchant of record: the sale is between you and the bidder, and you handle the item, the receipt and any refund. The full details are on the pricing page.

Who it is for

Non-profits and community organizations running a fundraiser with volunteers rather than staff — school and parent associations, preschools and daycares, sports clubs, churches, animal rescues, arts groups.

If your last auction ran on a spreadsheet, a group chat and a shoebox of cheques, this is built for you.
